Spartan Poker has launched the 13th edition of the India Online Poker Championship (IOPC), with a massive 33 Crore GTD, starting from the 2nd of June till 19th June 2022. This edition of IOPC is unique with their launch of Spartan-verse having a 3d-reconstructed ‘Hall of Fame’, a place to honor all the winners of IOPC and the pioneers of the Indian online poker industry.
IOPC’s 13th edition is an upgrade over the past editions as it includes all the favorite features from the previous years as well as new tournaments, including the country’s largest 1 Crore leaderboard, Daily 1L GTD leaderboards, main event with 4 Cr GTD, and the winner receiving a diamond-studded Crown.
Speaking on the launch, Mr. Amin Rozani, CEO of Spartan Poker Group said, “As a creative game firm, we’re ecstatic to invest in Spartan-verse and construct a “Hall of Fame,” to honor all the winners of IOPC, further cementing our partnership in the metaverse industry, where creators and users share their time. I am also certain that Spartan’s expertise, which includes our sophisticated game engine and technology, will help us speed up projects like the creation of new digital experiences in sports”
Spartan Poker and IOPC have been a pioneer in adopting futuristic technological trends into the gaming industry. The last edition of IOPC launched NFTs for the first time in the gaming industry. Recently concluded mega live event India Poker Championship integrated Phygital trophies for the first time. This edition of IOPC is stepping it up with their entry into metaverse! Thus, leading the way in bridging the technological evolution and the growth in gaming.
For the past few years, IOPC has been the flagbearer of online poker tournaments in the country. This year too we will host the flag high with the 13th edition and the tournament will see millions of intellectuals inspired by the game, use their skillset and knowledge, and win huge prizes. Added Mr. Rozani.
IOPC started in 2015 with just 6.5 Lacs GTD, and has grown to a 33 CR GTD today! This shows the immense growth journey that the tournament has had thanks to the trust of the poker fraternity. More than 4000 players participated in the last edition, and the winner of the crown took home huge cash prizes.
